# Terms of Service & Referral Rewards

Focus Timer (the “App”, Android package **com.focustimer.app**) is provided by **CIBRU, a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Krishna moni Borah** (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms cover the App, optional Premium subscriptions, and referral rewards. By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, stop using it. See our Privacy Policy for data handling.
## 1. Eligibility, license, and acceptable use
The App is intended for users aged 13 or older, or the higher minimum age required by applicable law. If you cannot independently enter a binding agreement, a parent or legal guardian must authorize your use and purchases where permitted. This does not replace any applicable age or data-consent requirements.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for lawful personal productivity. Do not redistribute or resell the App, infringe others’ rights, disrupt the service, or bypass purchase or referral verification. Restrictions on modification or reverse engineering apply only to the extent permitted by law.
## 2. Timers, alarms, and digital wellbeing
Focus Timer offers customizable sequential timers and stopwatches, looping and interval alerts, themes, local app-usage summaries/trends, App Limits, Screen Blur, and optional accessibility-based Shorts/Reels/feed scroll counters. These are convenience and self-management tools, not medical devices, certified parental controls, or tamper-proof app locks. Counts are estimates and third-party app changes can affect detection.
Do not rely on Focus Timer for medication dosing, life-support monitoring, hazardous machinery, driving, or other safety-critical timing. Android restrictions, battery settings, permissions, hardware, and interruptions can delay or prevent alerts and overlays.
Choose app limits carefully so they do not interfere with emergency calls or essential communications. Optional permissions can be revoked in Android settings. Feature availability depends on your device and permissions. Nothing in these Terms removes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
## 3. Paid Services, Billing & Subscriptions
Core timer tools, themes, and app limits are free. The free tier may show ads. Optional **Weekly, Monthly, and Annual** Premium subscriptions remove in-app advertising while paid access remains valid. Neither a subscription nor referral participation is required for free tools. The following are reference prices in US dollars:
- **Weekly — US$0.49/week:** No free trial. Billed upon purchase confirmation, then automatically billed every week until canceled.
- **Monthly — US$1.49/month:** A **3-Day Free Trial** for eligible new subscribers when offered at checkout, followed by automatic monthly billing at the displayed price until canceled.
- **Annual — US$14.99/year:** A **7-Day Free Trial** for eligible new subscribers when offered at checkout, followed by automatic annual billing at the displayed price until canceled.
Google Play manages trial eligibility. Trials apply only when offered to you at checkout; accepting an offer without a trial starts paid billing upon purchase confirmation. Cancel at least 24 hours before a trial ends to avoid the first subscription charge. If you do not, Google Play will automatically charge the recurring price shown at checkout. The displayed live price, currency, billing period, taxes, and offer conditions govern. Unavailable-product preview prices are illustrative and cannot be purchased.
- **Price and purchase:** Google Play displays the applicable price, currency, billing period, taxes where applicable, and offer conditions before confirmation. Availability and pricing may vary by country. No trial or introductory offer is promised unless displayed at checkout; its duration, eligibility, and subsequent recurring price apply as disclosed there.
- **Renewal:** Recurring subscriptions renew and charge through Google Play unless cancelled before the next renewal. Price changes and any required consent follow Google Play rules and applicable law.
- **Cancellation:** With the purchasing Google Account, go to Google Play Store > Profile Icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Focus Timer > Cancel Subscription, then complete the confirmation steps. You can also visit Google Play subscriptions. Cancel before the next renewal shown by Google Play to avoid the next charge. Cancellation normally preserves access through the paid period; it does not automatically refund that period. Uninstalling, deleting data, or earning referral rewards does not cancel billing.
- **Refund requests:** Within 48 hours of a purchase, you may be eligible to request a refund from Google Play; approval is not guaranteed. After 48 hours, contact support@cibru.in with the relevant Google Play order number (for example `GPA.XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXX`), purchase date, and a short explanation. You may contact us earlier as well. See our refund support instructions for finding the order number and submitting a request. Refund eligibility remains subject to Google Play policy and applicable law.
- **Verification:** Purchases require no separate CIBRU login or email registration. Google Play uses your Play Store account. Internet access and successful Google Play and backend verification are required to activate or restore paid access. Pending purchases do not grant Premium. Access may continue during an eligible verified grace period, but not during an effective account hold or pause, or after expiry or revocation.
- **Offline access:** Verified paid access lasts up to 72 hours after verification, never beyond verified expiry. Restarting the device or invalidating local verification requires an earlier online check. Failure to verify does not itself cancel billing.
- **Restoration:** With the purchasing Google Play account, select *Restore Purchases*. Only eligible, successfully verified purchases can be restored. This can recreate previously deleted verification records.

## 4. Optional referral rewards
Rewards are off by default. Selecting *Enable Referral Sync* opts into a pseudonymous online referral profile and the processing described in the Privacy Policy. No purchase is required. An invited person must install Focus Timer through an eligible Google Play referral link, explicitly enable sync, and pass installation and Play Integrity checks before a referral can qualify. Sharing or clicking a link alone earns nothing. Existing or ineligible installations, duplicates, self-referrals, fabricated installations, and unverifiable requests do not qualify. Rewards are for the inviter; using an invitation link does not itself promise the invited user a reward.
Each milestone is awarded once per eligible profile, based on the total credited referrals:
- **3 referrals:** add 30 days (30 days awarded in total).
- **5 referrals:** add another 30 days (60 days in total).
- **10 referrals:** add 120 days (180 days in total).
- **15 referrals:** add 185 days (365 days in total).
- **100 referrals:** add 36,135 days (36,500 days in total), displayed as Lifetime Premium.
Added time starts from the later of the award time or the current referral reward expiry. Totals are cumulative awarded days, not necessarily days remaining. “One month” means 30 awarded days. The existing “Lifetime Premium” display label represents a finite 36,500-day total (100 years) in the expiry-based system, not a transferable or perpetual entitlement or a promise that the service operates forever. Server-verified progress and expiry determine remaining access; contact support if you believe a result is wrong.
An active verified referral reward removes in-app ads. Paid and referral access are independent: ads remain removed while either is valid. Their expiry clocks run independently. Rewards do not pause a paid subscription, extend its billing period, or automatically refund overlapping paid time. Cancel paid renewal in Google Play if you no longer want it.
Rewards have no cash value, are not transferable between users or CIBRU apps, and cannot be restored through Google Play purchases. Reinstalling, clearing storage, or changing devices may lose access to an unlinked anonymous profile; recovery is not guaranteed. Online revalidation is required periodically and after restart. Offline referral access lasts at most 24 hours after successful sync and never beyond reward expiry.
On the Referral / Free Premium screen, *Turn Off Referral Sync* clears cached referral state and stops local access and syncing, but does not delete server records or pause reward expiry. Only *Enable Referral Sync* resumes it, with online verification. *Delete Referral Data* requests deletion of this app's profile and remaining rewards. Check any reported error. A valid paid subscription is unaffected. See deletion instructions for retained anti-abuse data and shared authentication records.
Share invitations honestly and only where allowed. Do not spam, impersonate CIBRU, misrepresent rewards, automate claims, or manipulate devices or installations. We may reject or suspend fraudulent or ineligible claims. We may change future offers or suspend the program for security, legal, or operational reasons, with notice of material changes where reasonably possible and as required by law. Changes do not remove non-excludable consumer rights.
## 5. Intellectual property and third-party services
The App’s code, designs, artwork, and branding belong to CIBRU or their respective licensors. Use does not transfer ownership. Google Play, Google Mobile Ads, Google Play Integrity, and hosting providers have their own applicable terms and privacy notices. We do not endorse third-party advertisements.
## 6. Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, perfect timing, universal device compatibility, or error-free service. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the App. These limitations do not exclude liability, statutory warranties, refunds, or other consumer remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
## 7. Suspension, termination, and changes
You may stop using the App at any time; cancel paid renewals separately. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, or a material breach. Material changes to paid benefits and related remedies remain subject to Google Play rules and applicable law.
We will publish revised Terms with an updated date and provide additional notice or obtain agreement where required. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Nothing here deprives you of mandatory protections or access to courts available under the law applicable to you.
