02 / LOW-LATENCY AUDIO PASSTHROUGH · v0.1.0

Mic to Headphone.Real-time acoustic monitoring.

Mic to Headphone (package com.mictoheadphone) is an ultra-low-latency Android audio utility developed by Krishna Moni Borah under Cibru. Designed for live self-monitoring, hearing assistance, and acoustic exploration, it routes the device's built-in microphone directly to connected headphones or USB DACs using native C++ Oboe/AAudio pipelines. Built with acoustic feedback prevention that automatically silences the feed if headphones disconnect, it guarantees zero persistent recording, zero ads, and real-time audio stability.

THE PURPOSE

Useful by nature.
Engineered with intention.

Hear your phone's built-in microphone through connected headphones in real time with the lowest stable latency your hardware supports. Engineered with native AAudio and Oboe for musicians, performers, and acoustic monitoring.

Every release under the Cibru imprint is developed with uncompromising care for battery consumption, memory footprint, and user autonomy. Keystrokes, personal media, and sensitive tokens remain strictly within on-device sandboxes without external telemetry or background tracking.

PRIVACY AT THE CORE

Zero surveillance.
Respect for the user.

—Zero audio recording: Microphone stream is processed purely in volatile RAM buffers and never written to storage.

—Zero network transmission: Audio frames never leave your device and no internet permission is used for audio.

—Instant mute safety: Hardware disconnection immediately terminates the stream to protect your hearing.

—Technical and support inquiries handled directly via support@cibru.in.

02 / CAPABILITIES & ARCHITECTURE

Engineered for speed.
Refined in the details.

01

Native C++ Oboe & AAudio Pipeline: Sub-30ms full-duplex audio passthrough on supported Tier A wired and USB-C devices

02

Dedicated Built-In Mic Binding: Always binds to the phone's internal microphone, even when headsets have inline microphones

03

Fail-Safe Feedback Protection: Prohibits speaker output and automatically silences immediately upon headphone disconnection

04

One-Touch Minimalist Interface: Single Start/Stop listening toggle with smooth volume gain adjustment and peak limiting

05

Lock-Free Live Level Metering: High-performance 25 Hz RMS audio metering without jitter or audio thread interruption

06

Zero Audio Recording: 100% live monitoring — acoustic frames are never buffered to storage, logged, or uploaded
